Our Purpose
The mission of the Teen Services Committee is to inspire teens to become lifelong library users by fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging library experience. The Committee empowers teens by providing leadership opportunities and offering impactful programming that encourages creativity, learning, and connection. Through dynamic events, hands-on activities, and personalized initiatives, we strive to create meaningful experiences that resonate with teens and reflect their interests and needs.
Our Objectives
Foster a Love for Libraries Among Teens: Encourage teens to see the library as a welcoming, engaging space for exploration, learning, and connection.
Deliver Impactful Programming: Provide creative, inclusive, and meaningful programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of teens across the library system.
Empower Teen Engagement: Create opportunities for teens to participate actively in library programs, providing them with leadership roles and a platform to share their voices.
Promote Accessibility and Equity: Ensure library services and resources are accessible to all teens, regardless of background or location, by expanding outreach efforts and designing inclusive programs.
Support Staff Collaboration: Strengthen collaboration among library staff to share ideas, resources, and best practices for teen programming.
